That this:

Kinja'd!!!

Gets better gas mileage than my DD. Which only has 258hp and does 0-60 in greater than 6s.

Pretty amazing, if you ask me.

The new Stingray also gets better mileage then my 09 base impreza... And it doesn't utilize a hybrid system to do that.

It's a hybrid. It gets that number by running on its battery.

This is true, but no matter how it happens, it happens lol. I'm sure without electric it would still beat my DD anywho.

Le sigh. The stingray has grown on me, and hard. Very hard.

One day I can afford one...

What's your DD and what kind of fuel economy does it get?

'04 intrepid. Full tank on the highway will yield up to 28mpg, but city only in the winter can drop as low as 14. Average with mixed highway/city driving in the winter has been around 18, while the summer will get closer to 20.

If I drive extremely conservative (I don't accelerate too crazy as it is) I can average maybe 22 mixed highway/city.

'04 Intrepid... Sell it and buy a C5 Corvette. You'll be better off.

I'd love to, but I live in a frigid area that the vette wouldn't handle so well in the snow and ice :(

I'm a huge vette fan too, but once I land a job after graduation and work for a year or two I'll definitely be grabbing up a C5.

That comes down to the tires and driving style. With good snow shoes and a sensitive right foot the Vette will do fine in snow, as will any rwd car. Just don't tap into it going around a corner.

True. My only other issue is I don't have a job yet and technically my car isn't my car. Also I'm a bit on the side of not liking vette's out in the inclement weather, though I understand those who do.

Oh good- for a moment I thought you had bought a Dodge Intrepid.

Nope, but I do admit the EGG is a nice engine. I actually really like it, though it is a bit underpowered for the size and weight of car, and the body rolls a decent amount, it isn't all that bad at all. No major issues either.

Is it modified? The most a 04 Intrepid made was 244 hp with the SXT 3.5l V6, not 258.

My bad, mixed two family cars numbers up as they are close. '04 makes 250hp. 244 was for the model year before mine, 04's made 6hp gain over the previous year.
